I visited Jinguashi a few days ago. It's a 2 hour drive from where I'm staying. It has mountains very close to the ocean.
I took some photos at what used to be a fish farm. There was some washed up trash, but the rest of the environment was nice.
I'm not sure what my plans are for the rest of this Summer. I hope to visit the National Palace soon, and I might take some classes in art or dance. I have a list of places that I hope to visit, so I'm working on that.
Grampa and I went to the National Palace Museum when we we in Taiwan years ago. I think you were with us, but very young. I think taking a dance class would alot of fun. If I were younger I'd love to do that. Also taking an art class in Taiwan would be interesting.
ReplyDeletejust try some fun and relaxing new things. Love you , Gramma
If I were on a two-and-a-half month vacation in Taiwan, with art school just on the horizon, I would definitely take advantage of my special opportunity being there to eagerly explore the incredibly vast and rich universe of Asian/Chinese/Taiwanese fine art and aesthetics -- not only as a deeply curious, receptive observer seeking to absorb as much of the ideas and values as I possibly could, but also as an active, hands-on participant, focusing time and energy on experimenting with the very new and different. That contact time and those experiences would doubtless be creatively mind-expanding and inspiring, and certainly bring influence to my own artistic viewpoints in the future.
